CookingMania
Now as you know Children's Web Magazine has often written about food and how vital it is to your health. Cooking is also something that is good to learn and is important and interesting as it can make the food you eat much tastier. I have mentioned some websites in the past that could help you to learn to cook. But here is a new one CookingMania was started by Ethel Blair in April 2008. She couldn't find anywhere in Scotland that provided a cookery
birthday party for her children. So like most entrepreneurs who can't find what they are looking for she started her own business. As I have said before cooking is an art form but it is also a science. CookingMaina also says it brings together many skills reading recipes, converting weights and measurements. As well as choosing foods that taste good and go together in a dish or a menu.
They want you to learn to cook in their purpose built kitchen. It's safe, fun and it doesn't matter if you
get messy. It's all part of the learning process.
Ethel Blair runs the school with Kate Richardson. They have years of cooking experience. So you can learn a lot from them.
You can find out how to cook food from countries such as Italy, Mexico, the Far East, India and Spain. They also do special days for Halloween, Christmas and Easter. Some of these things you could make and give as presents.
So if your looking for an after school cookery club, holiday courses and of course, birthday parties, you live in or are visiting Scotland and would like more information visit www.cookingmania.co.uk
I hope they will do family holiday courses in the future so that if you are on holiday there you can do a family activity. This is something that everyone will enjoy and benefit from. There would be no excuses not to muck in at meal times.
